In this podcast you get two stories, both written by Pulitzer Prize Winners. William Faulkner and Booth Tarkington. Faulkner won the Pulitzer twice and the Nobel Prize once, too. Most of his writings are Southern Gothic, focusing on sexuality and race. Tarkington also won the Pulitzer twice, but no Nobel Prize. Still, he was considered the best American author in the 1910s and 20s though he is little known today. The stories you’ll hear are “A Rose for Emily” by Faulkner, and “Ariel’s Triumph” by Tarkington.
