Our Second Girl by Harriet Beecher Stowe

Stowe is most famous for “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” which portrayed the real life of a slave and, some say, ignited the abolitionist movement. When Lincoln met Stowe he said ‘you’re the little woman that wrote the book that made this great war!’ But our story this week is so much fluff compared to her great works. But it’s fun and romantic and sometimes, you just want to be fun and romantic!  Enjoy!
